MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the year following. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her streaming smash song Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is a musician born in a home with a music program. His mother and brother were also musicians. In interviews, Turizo said that music is a must. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singer would alter his direction in life.
